2022 EHEN Scientific Meeting
The EHEN SCIENTIFIC MEETINGÂ
đ May 24-25, đș Barcelona, Spain
The European Human Exposome Network (EHEN) is the đ worldâs largest network of projects studying the impact of environmental exposure on human health. It brings together 9 research projects, receiving over âŹ100 million from Horizon 2020, the EUâs framework programme for research and innovation.
The 2022 EHEN Scientific Meeting brought together 130 participants in person et 140 online. The main aim of this meeting was to exchange results across the exposome projects and to discuss synergies, deviations, and opportunities for collaboration.
All EHEN researchers were invited to submit their abstract for oral presentation at the conference, covering any aspect of the EHEN projects, from methods and design to results and translation.
The following 6 abstract from REMEDIA had been accepted and were presented during the meeting:
đ “Exposome approach in the REMEDIA project: a literature review to decipher the role of environmental factors involved in cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”. Presented by Pascal Baptiste (CHIC)
đ “Clusters of exposome components and their association with lung function evolution during the youth: methodological considerations for unsupervised analyses of ALSPAC and PELAGIE cohorts in the REMEDIA project.” Presented by Etienne Audereau (INSERM)
đ “Evaluation of the combined effect of exposure to air pollution and noise in pulmonary manifestation of cystic fibrosis disease”. Presented by Celine-Hivda Yegen (IMRB)
đ “METHOD & DESIGN: How to simulate realistic episodes of atmospheric pollution at the laboratory for exposome studies purposes”. Presented by Juan Camilo Macias Rodriguez (LISA)
đ “Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Associated Lockdown Measures on the Management, Health, environment and Behaviour of the Cystic Fibrosis Population in France During 2020 (MUCONFIN)”. Presented by Ralph Epaud (CHIC)
đ “Prenatal exposure to air pollution:Â a susceptibility factor to develop Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)?” Presented by Zhuyi Lu (IMRB)
During the EHEN international meeting, there was the official launch of the virtual toolbox, which provides an inventory of all the tools developed in each of the projects. REMEDIA, EPHOR and HEAP were in charge of this task.
It has been a great opportunity to exchange with partners from Ephor, LongITools, ATHLETE, Equal-Life, HEAP, EXIMIOUS, EXPANSE, HEDIMED and learn about the progress being made across the network.
REMEDIA is proud to be part of EHEN!
