Sophie Lanone: Influencing the course of respiratory diseases
REMEDIA coordinator, Dr Sophie Lanone, has been working on respiratory diseases since her doctorate over 20 years ago. She intends to find out which factors, external or internal, have an impact on the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cystic fibrosis. Her career has just taken a new turn with the REMEDIA project, a European contract granting her 11 million euros to explore these interactions for the next five years.
The researcher built the REMEDIA project, after several years dedicated to studying the impact of the environment on respiratory diseases.
